Technology

Gold-to-gold transmission technology makes slip ring assemblies suitable for applications at high and low temperatures, in vacuum or in potentially explosive atmospheres.

Our products are designed to provide high contact quality, low contact resistance, high corrosion resistance and maintenance free operation over hundreds of millions of revolutions.

Gold / Gold

This modern transmission technology enables the transmission of finest currents and higher power.
The slip rings are coated with a special hard gold coating of 400 Vickers hardness, which guarantees extremely high contact quality and corrosion resistance.
The spring system with at least two gold contacts per ring ensures precise contact and guarantees reliable signal transmission, e.g. for Profibus or Ethernet.

High Speed

The highest speeds are achieved through our innovative multi-layer gold and gold sintering.
This combination enables speeds of over 20,000 revolutions per minute without any loss of transmission quality.

This maintenance-free technology is ideal for applications that require extreme speeds and maximum precision with maximum service life.

Carbon Brushes

Carbon brush technology is a tried and tested method of transmitting electrical currents, but has now been superseded by modern solutions like the gold/gold plating and high-speed systems.

While carbon brushes continue to be used in simple and robust applications, the new technologies offer greater efficiency, precision and durability. Nevertheless, carbon brushes are still used for less demanding applications.

SRK

Slip ring assembly as a closed system

The SRK series from Rie-Tech consists of closed components with their own bearings, which have IP 64 protection as standard.

These slip ring assemblies are robust and offer reliable protection against external influences, making them ideal for demanding industrial applications. The SRK components are versatile and can be customized to suit different requirements, including different shaft and flange designs.

Due to their enclosed design, they offer excellent stability and durability, even in harsh environments. This type series enables easy mounting on your system and is therefore a flexible solution for different application scenarios. The components are customized according to the customer’s specific requirements in terms of the number of poles, current load and type of signals to be transmitted.

A particular strength of the SRK series is the option of integrating media transmitters for air, water or hydraulic oil, which makes this series particularly versatile.

SRW

Slip ring assembly with through hole

The SRW series is specially designed for applications where a through-hole is required so that they can be mounted on a shaft.

These slip ring assemblies are also closed components with their own bearings and have IP 64 protection as standard. They offer the same robust features as the SRK range, but with the added flexibility of the through-hole for easy integration into existing systems.

This type series is ideal for applications that require a higher load capacity and flexibility. The SRW slip ring assemblies can be customized to the customer’s specific requirements, including pole count, current load and signal transmission.

The through-bore makes the size of these slip ring assemblies larger, which makes them a slightly more expensive solution. However, they are an excellent choice when the SRK type series is not suitable due to space or installation requirements.

SRP

Planar or pancake slip ring assembly as a Closed or Open System

The SRP Series is the ideal choice for applications where a short overall length is required and only space is available in the diameter. The SRP includes both possibilities, closed and open systems designed to meet specific requirements.

SRP slip ring assemblies are characterized by the radial arrangement of the slip rings, which allows a compact design in terms of length.

SRP slip ring assemblies are designed to meet specific customer requirements and offer adaptability in terms of number of poles, current load and signal transmission.

The use of gold/gold transfer technology also ensures high contact quality and reliability.

SRO

Open system for special applications

Rie-Tech’s SRO series are slip ring assemblies supplied without a housing. These components are intended for applications where the user is responsible for protection and assembly.

The SRO Series has been specifically designed for demanding installation spaces and can be designed in a variety of transmission technologies such as gold/gold, high speed or conventional carbon brush technology.

This flexibility makes the SRO Series the preferred choice for projects that require a customized solution.

The SRW series offers closed slip ring assemblies with a through bore that can be mounted on a shaft. This solution is designed for applications where the slip ring assembly cannot be mounted on the end of the shaft.

The SRP Series consists of slip ring assemblies manufactured in either a closed or open design, allowing for compact construction. They are particularly suitable for applications with limited space and special requirements.

SRP Type 1

The SRP type 1 is an open design that offers you maximum flexibility during installation. You have control over the bearing and the correct installation position, allowing you to optimize the slip ring assembly to your specific requirements. Please note that protection against contact and soiling must be provided by you to ensure trouble-free functionality.

SRP Type 2

The SRP Type 2 offers you a closed solution with integrated protection to IP 64, ideal for demanding environments. This variant is designed for customers who value additional safety and protection against external influences without compromising on performance. The slip ring assembly is already fully encapsulated and ready for immediate use to reliably fulfil your requirements.

The SRO series from Rie-Tech are slip ring assemblies that are supplied without a housing. These components are intended for applications where the user is responsible for protection and assembly.

SR0 Type 1

Gold/gold transmission technology, or high-speed gold/gold technology. These components can be used for signal and power transmission. We produce these components in a very compact design, but the operator is responsible for correct installation, protection against contact and contamination.

SRO Type 2

Conventional carbon brush technology. The transmission of current with carbon brushes via bronze rings has been practised for many years. This technology is only suitable for simple requirements and not for signals.
The operator is responsible for correct installation, protection against contact and contamination.

SRO Typ 1

Gold/Gold-Übertragungstechnik, oder High Speed-Gold/Goldtechnik. Diese Bauteile können für die Signal- und Leistungsübertragung eingesetzt werden. Diese Bauteile bauen wir sehr kompakt, es wird jedoch vom Betreiber die Verantwortung für den richtigen Einbau, Berührungsschutz und Schutz vor Verschmutzung übernommen.

SRO Typ 2

Konventionelle Schleifkohlentechnik. Die Übertragung von Strom mit Schleifkohlen über Bronzeringe wird schon seit vielen Jahren praktiziert. Diese Technik ist nur für einfache Anforderungen und nicht für Signale geeignet.

SRP Typ 1

Der SRP Typ 1 ist eine offene Ausführung, die Ihnen maximale Flexibilität bei der Installation bietet. Sie haben die Kontrolle über die Lagerung und den positionsrichtigen Einbau, wodurch Sie den Schleifringkörper optimal an Ihre spezifischen Anforderungen anpassen können. Bitte beachten Sie, dass der Schutz vor Berührung und Verschmutzung von Ihrer Seite gewährleistet werden muss, um eine störungsfreie Funktionalität sicherzustellen.

SRP Typ 2

Der SRP Typ 2 bietet Ihnen eine geschlossene Lösung mit einem integrierten Schutz nach IP 64, ideal für anspruchsvolle Umgebungen.
